Kristen Funk, Ph. D.
I am currently a postdoctoral research associate in the lab of Robyn Klein at Washington University in St Louis. I am looking to transition to a tenure-track Assistant Professor position where I can launch my independent research program focused on neuroimmunology, neurodegeneration, and neuroinfectious diseases. The overarching goal of my research program is to understand the contribution of the neuroimmune system to cognitive dysfunction of Alzheimer's disease. To study this, I use a novel model of West Nile viral encephalitis, which replicates certain aspects of cognitive dysfunction.
